At Sussex Evergreen Landscaping we usually suggest one of two pond types.  One is manufactured in a pre-formed plastic or fibreglass. The other is where we dig out a pond shape and line it with a pond liner material which is guaranteed for at least 20 to 25 years.

When designing a pond,  several issues need to be considered, but one of the more important is the local water table level in your area.  In summer the water table usually drops, however in winter is naturally rises with the increased rainfall.  So if the pond liner is too deep and below the water table, in summer,  in the winter you will find the liner starts to float on the water table which needs to be avoided.

With a pre-formed pond, all you need do is choose the size and position of your pond. We will then dig out the ground and set the pond in position.  When setting the pond we will use building sand to pack around it with a plastic liner.

We will then use a proper underlay on top of the sand and form the liner into the desired shape. 

We can assist with ideas for the design / shape or leave it to you to. 

We can then set stones, slabs, rockery stones or just grass around the edge of the pond.

If you would like to be more adventurous we can design waterfalls, which are set on their own and fall directly into your pond. 

Alternatively we can set-up various water features if a pond is not what you require.
