When choosing a new lawn we can offer several different grades of turf, from parkland to the very fine seeded show lawn type.

Sussex Evergreen landscaping will be pleased to advise on the type of lawn that suits your requirements. If you have an existing lawn that can be repaired, we will be happy to insert turf or re-seed the area.  If it just needs maintenance we can weed and fertilise and roll as necessary.

Turfing Preparation

To prepare the ground for Turfing we will spray weed killer directly on the weeds and old grass and if necessary wait until all the vegetation is dead. We will then strip off the old grass and dig out the weeds and roots.

If there is a need for top soil, we will only use 

shredded top soil so as to achieve a first level with the ground.  This will all be flattened by foot to ensure it is perfectly level.  This will be repeated as necessary.

In the final stage when the ground is flat, we use boards to walk on. This helps to ensure that foot marks are not left making the lawn look uneven.

Seeded Lawns

If you prefer we can also grow a new lawn from seed.  We will do all the previously mentioned and preparation and will ensure the new lawn is properly managed while growing.  We will of course advise you how to take care of your new lawn and maintain it through the seasons.
