At Sussex Evergreen we specialise in Garden Decking! We can advise on the style and timber to  choose from, whether plain, grooved, shaped or square.

The posts we use are 4"x 4" or 5"x 5" depending on the height and size of the decking.  The posts are wrapped in plastic to stop any rot setting in.  We also use a membrane underneath the decking to stop any weeds from growing.

The Supports are 4" x 2" and 6" x 2" with noggings in between the joists.  We can lay the decking in straight lines or mitred into panels as seen in the photographs on this page.  We feel this approach is more appealing.

On the posts we can also use a turned spindle as well as plain.

Lights can be set into the decking to enhance the look and can be used on those late summer evenings for that special party or just chilling out with a glass or two of wine!

Other options

We can also make Pagodas, Tree houses, Gazeboes, Rose Arch's, Children's play areas with swings, slides, castles and sandpits etc.  Also Decking with or without bridges to go over your pond.

We can also construct raised Decking areas.  All the timber is treated to be longer lasting with better looks and ease of maintenance.
